Jalapeno Poppers — Champion Valley Farm recipe

Jalapeno Poppers

These aren't your average poppers — these are Champion Valley Farm-style , and they’re a longtime favorite from Kelsey’s family reunions!

Stuffed with marinated Champion Valley Farm stew meat and wrapped in bacon, these grilled beauties are smoky, savory, and absolutely addictive.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh jalapeños, halved and seeded
  • Champion Valley Farm stew meat
  • Water
  • Regular-cut bacon
  • Toothpicks
  • Optional: meat tenderizer if you're concerned about tenderness
  • Optional: cream cheese or shredded cheese for extra richness
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Soy sauce

Marinade Instructions:

  • Mix equal parts Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce (start with ½ cup of each depending on how much stew meat you’re using).
  • Add just enough water to cover the meat completely.
  • Optional: Sprinkle in meat tenderizer if desired.
  • Marinate the stew meat for about 4 hours in the refrigerator.

Assembly & Cooking:

  1. Slice and de-seed your jalapeños.
  2. Stuff each half with a piece of the marinated stew meat (and a little cheese, if you like).
  3. Wrap with regular-cut bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Grill over medium heat, turning occasionally, until bacon is crispy and meat is cooked through (about 15–20 minutes).

🔥 Serve hot off the grill and watch them disappear — these are always a crowd-pleaser!
