Stock your freezer with grass-fed, grass-finished beef raised on our place outside Champion, Nebraska. A quarter, half or whole share is the best value we offer, and the best way to know exactly where your beef came from.

What you pay today

The price shown is your deposit, which reserves your place on an upcoming processing date. It is not the full cost of the share.

Share Deposit today Then, per pound hanging weight
Quarter beef $300 $7.45/lb
Half beef $500 $7.30/lb
Whole beef $700 $7.25/lb

After your beef is processed we weigh it, work out the balance at the rate above, subtract your deposit, and send you an invoice. The per-pound rate includes cut and wrap.

How much beef is that?

Share Hanging weight Freezer space
Quarter beef 100–150 lbs about 4 cu ft
Half beef 200–300 lbs about 8 cu ft
Whole beef 400–600 lbs 16+ cu ft

Roughly 50% ground and stew meat, 25% roasts, 25% steaks. Every animal is different, so treat these as estimates.

Our cattle

We raise American Aberdeen and Murray Grey steers. Aberdeens hang around 400–450 lbs; Murray Greys average closer to 600 lbs. If you'd prefer an Aberdeen-only share, tell us when you order — it doesn't change the price.

What happens next

  1. You place your deposit and we get you on the schedule.
  2. Once your beef is scheduled with the processor, we’ll provide them with your name and phone number. The butcher will call you directly to go through the available cuts, how you want your beef cut, and how you’d like it packaged.
  3. Beef is dry-aged 14 days.
  4. Your final price is based on the hanging weight of the beef. We won’t know the hanging weight until the butcher weighs your animal after processing, so the final total cannot be calculated until then. Once we receive the hanging weight, we calculate your final price using the price per pound for the share you chose. Our price per pound includes the processing fees. Your deposit is then deducted from that final invoice, so it is applied toward your total—not an additional charge.

Orders are typically ready about 3 weeks after processing. We process monthly year-round and the schedule fills up, so an early deposit gets you the timeframe you want.
